ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to issue Non-Traceable Certificate to the Petitioner relating to the relating to the Missing Documents bearing Documents No. 1256 of 1988, dated 11.05.1988 and 5053 of 1955, dated 27.12.1955 and other relevant documents which have been lost by the petitioner on 08.08.2022 based on the Petitioners complaint dated 08.08.2022 within the time frame as fixed by this Court;

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. The learned counsel appearing for petitioner would submit that the writ petitioner has lodged a complaint before the respondent for missing of his sale deed in Document No.1256 of 1988, since no action has been taken he has filed the present petition. 2/5

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the jurisdiction police is only Vaiyampatti police and hence the petitioner may be directed to give a copy of the complaint to the Vaiyampatti police along with necessary documents.

5. In pursuance of the direction of this Court in Crl.O.P.No.3307 of 2022, the Director General of Police has issued a circular memorandum in Rc.No.2029209/General.1 (1)/2022, dated 01.04.2022 stipulating the procedure to be adopted with regard to issuance of non-traceable certificate.

6. Considering the above, the Inspector of Police, Vaiyampatti Police Station is directed to conduct enquiry and issue Non-traceable Certificate to the writ petitioner, after ensuring the said document has not been deposited for any purpose following the circular issued by the Director General of Police within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
