PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to disburse the compensation amount to the petitioner for her land in survey No.125/1A4 situated at Theeyanur Revenue Village, Paramakudi Taluka, Ramanathapuram District to the extent of 289 square meter acquired by the respondents for the purpose of Paramakudi to Rameshwaram (NH-49) road expansion project by considering the representation dated 07.08.2023 and in view of proceedings of the 4th respondent in Na.Ka.(A1) The.Ne.49/Unit 1(New Project )/285/2023 dated 14.08.2023 within a period stipulated time by this Court.

Heard both sides.

2.The petitioner's lands have been acquired. The petitioner seeks disbursement of the compensation amount. No exception can be taken.

3.It is submitted by the respondents that within three months, appropriate award will be passed and compensation would also be disbursed to the petitioner herein. It is of course open to the petitioner to receive the said amount without prejudice to her claim for higher compensation. 4.Recording the stand of the respondents, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
