ORDER

The petitioner has completed B.E (Aeronautical Engineering) awarded by Anna University.

The petitioner claims that the B.E (Aeronautical Engineering) awarded by the Anna University is equivalent to the B.E., (Mechanical Engineering) awarded by the Anna University, Chennai. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation in this regard on 14.11.2017 and filed this writ petition for a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to place the petitioner's request before the Equivalence Committee.

2.When this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent by referring the government order in G.O.(Ms)No.260 Higher Education (J1) Department dated 18.11.2022 submits that the issue was placed before the Council for Higher Education in the year 2022 and it was held the B.E(Aeronautical Engineering) awarded by the Anna 2/4

University is not equivalent to the B.E (Mechanical Engineering) awarded by the Anna University for the purpose of public employment. 3.In view of above government order issued on 18.11.2022 following the decision of the Tamil Nadu State Council for Higher Education, dated 20.10.2022, this Court is not inclined to entertain this writ petition. Accordingly this writ petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law. No costs.
