ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the fourth respondent to remove the wrongful entry in the petitioner's

Patta No.833 relating to S.No.154/4A, measuring an extent of 161⁄4 cents on the northern side out of the total extent of 181⁄2 cents, registered as Document No. 2793 of 2010, situated at Paalakombai Village, Andipatti Sub-Registration District, Periakulam Registration District, Theni District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 20.11.2017.

According to the petitioner, she is in peaceful possession and enjoyment of the property bearing Patta No.833 in S.No.154/4A, measuring 181⁄2 cents (northern side 161⁄4 cents) in Paalakombai Village, Andipatti Sub-Registration District, Periakulam Registration District, Theni District. A wrongful entry has been made in the patta (Document No.2793 of 2010) in respect of the said property, affecting the petitioner's proprietary and revenue rights and causing irreparable prejudice to the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 20.11.2017 to the fourth respondent requesting removal of the wrongful entry and rectification of the patta records, but no action has been taken thereon by the respondents within a reasonable time. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 7 submits that the petitioner's representation will be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

4. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the fourth respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.11.2017, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the ninth respondent and also to the other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
