and consequently, directing the third respondent to permit the petitioner to do fish harvesting till the end of the third year lease period, ie., upto June 2018, in Athalai Kanmoi, situated in Athalai Village, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai District, by receiving the third year lease amount from the petitioner.

ORDER

The request of the petitioner for extending the fishing lease period was rejected. Challenging the same, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. He also sought for extending the lease till June, 2018. 2.The petitioner, knowing very well about the lease period and the nature of tanks, has participated in the auction and became the successful bidder. Moreover, there is no provision for extension of lease period. If the petitioner has suffered any loss due to any unforeseen circumstances, the terms and conditions contained in the lease deed / tender conditions 2/4

would follow. But, the petitioner neither referred about the tender conditions nor the provisions to extend the lease period. That apart, the period sought for by the petitioner itself is over and as such, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition. Accordingly, this writ petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. Index :
