According to the petitioner, 0.25 ares in survey numbers mentioned in the petition were allotted to his father by way of partition. Thereafter, it is stated that the petitioner, his mother and his sister are in exclusive possession and enjoyment of such property. While checking UDR records, it is stated that the petitioner was shocked to find the names of other persons being shown in such records. Therefore, after submitting a representation dated 21.07.2025 to the Revenue Divisional Officer, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

2. Learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of all the respondents. He submits that the petitioner has submitted a representation to the Revenue Divisional Officer, whereas it should be submitted to the District Revenue Officer. He further submits that if such representation is filed before the District Revenue Officer, the same would be considered and disposed of on merits by the District Revenue Officer within a period of twelve weeks from the receipt thereof. 2/4

3. In view of the above submissions, without making any observations on the merits, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the following directions:

1. The petitioner is permitted to submit a fresh representation to the District Revenue Officer within one (1) week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order;

2. Upon receipt thereof, the District Revenue Officer is directed to consider and dispose of the same on merits within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt thereof, after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and any other persons who would be affected by such order.
