[Order of the Court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J.] The prayer in this writ petition is for issuance of a writ of mandamus forbearing the respondents from converting the existing cart track, namely, Mangamal Saalai in Survey Nos.81/1, 83/1, 84/4 of Valayankulam Village and Survey No.85/5 of Thottiyapatti Village, Thiruparamkundram Taluk, Madurai District into a water channel.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the proposed conversion of the existing cart tract into a water channel has not been mooted out subsequently by the respondents.

3. Recording the above submission of the learned Additional Government Pleader, this writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
