PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to take up the stay petition filed along with the Statutory Appeal filed by petitioner under Section 10-B of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905 and dispose the same in accordance with law within a time stipulated by this Court. [Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] The relief sought for in this writ petition is to direct the first respondent to take up the stay petition filed by the petitioner along with the Statutory Appeal under Section 10-B of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905 and dispose of the same in accordance with law, within a time stipulated by this Court.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the appeal filed by the petitioner itself has been disposed of and to that effect, he has also produced a copy of the proceedings of the first respondent dated 02.03.2023.

3. In view of the above submission, no further adjudication is required in respect of the grounds raised in this writ petition and the same is therefore closed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
