JUDGMENT

(Judgment of the Court was made by M.S.RAMESH,J.) This Writ Appeal has been filed against the order of the learned Single Judge in W.P.(MD).No.19117 of 2024 dated 29.08.2024.

2. The issue as to whether a Secondary Grade Teacher is entitled for incentive increment for possessing a higher educational qualification of B.Ed., degree has been held in the affirmative in favour of the teachers by this Court in several of its decisions.

3. The only ground that appears to be taken in this appeal is that such a B.Ed., degree was based on the M.Com., degree obtained by the respondent herein and since the subject of Commerce does not have any relevancy to a Secondary Grade Teacher, he would not be entitled for such incentive increment. Though such a submission appears to be attractive on a first flesh, the same is not backed up by any Regulation or Government Orders.

4. On the other hand, the Government Orders, which facilitate the payment of incentive increment, is only for possession of a higher educational

qualification by the Secondary Grade Teachers without any restriction. Thus, the only ground raised in this appeal does not deserve consideration.
