This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Fast Track Court, Maduari to conclude the trial in STC No.485 of 2022 within a time frame as fixed by this Court. 1/3
2.. It is seen that the petitioner as defacto complainant has filed a private complaint against the respondent under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instrument Act. He further submitted that the respondent did not appear before the trial Court for more than five hearings and hence Non Bailable Warrant was issued against the respondent on 06.11.2023. For the past few months the case is pending without any progress, hence he has sought for speedy disposal of the case.
3. Considering the pendency of the case and also the nature of the offences there shall be direction to the Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Fast Track Court, Madurai to complete the trial in STC No. 485 of 2022 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands allowed.
