ORDER

Heard the learned Counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner seeks issuance of passport. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the second respondent furnished the details regarding twenty cases in which the writ petitioner was involved. On going through the statement furnished by the second respondent, I am satisfied that the cases registered against the petitioner are brodly political in nature. It is stated that in PRC.No.3 of 2016 in Crime No.892 of 2014 on the file of Kanchipuram Taluk Police Station NBW is pending. The petitioner has to necessarily get the same recalled. In STC No.253 of 2019 in Crime No.104 of 2017 on the file of the Panthanallur Police Station summon is yet to be served. The petitioner has to enter appearance in the said case.

If the petitioner complies with these two requirements and files an affidavit to that effect before the first respondent, the first respondent will process the petitioner's application and issue passport to the petitioner subject to the fulfillment of the other usual formalities. The writ petition stands allowed on these terms. There shall be no order as to costs.
