The Writ Petition is filed for Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 5 to take steps to ensure participation of the petitioner and his family members in Mulaipari festival and car procession of Pungulali Amman temple situated at West Kottakudi Village, Abiramam Post, Mudhukulathur Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 06.09.2025.

2. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1, 3 and 4 produced a copy of the communication sent by the fourth respondent to the Government Pleader stating that on the petitioner's request, the respondents 2/5

6 and 7 were called for enquiry and they had agreed to permit the petitioner to pay "Thalaivari" (tax) and also to participate in "Mulaipari" festival.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in view of the said communication, the respondents may be directed to permit the petitioner to pay "Thalaivari" (tax) and participate in the festival.

4. The learned counsel for the respondents 6 and 7 would submit that they have never prevented the petitioner from participating in the festival; that in fact, it is the petitioner who had not paid the 'Thalaivari'.

5. In view of the decision taken by the fourth respondent, which is recorded above, nothing survives for adjudication. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of.
