....Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent No.3 to issue patta to the petitioner for the property situated in Natham Survey No.46, with an extent about 11.3 cents in Sundrapachayapuram, Vilathikulam Taluk, Thoothukudi District by considering his representation dated 20.08.2025 within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

After submitting a representation dated 20.08.2025 for issuance of patta to the petitioner in respect of Natham survey No.46, the present writ petition has been filed.

2.Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of all the respondents. On the basis of written instructions, he submits that Natham survey No.46/49 is of a total extent of 10.940 sq.metre. He further submits that the petitioner's request in respect of 440 sq.metre would be considered and disposed of on merits within 12 weeks.

3.In view of the above submissions, without making any observations on the merits, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the third respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 20.08.2025 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and any other person interested in that property. No costs.
