ORDER

The petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking direction to the second respondent to take steps and also implement the order dated 07.12.2023 passed in Case No.NC 4174 & 147/C/2021 (SA 6728/C/2021) by the Tamil Nadu State Information Commission as against the respondents 4 to 7, in accordance with law.

2. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.B.Saravanan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the official respondents 1 to 3.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that despite the order dated 07.12.2023, the second respondent has not taken any steps to implement the said order. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court seeking relief of Writ of Mandamus.

4. However, the learned Additional Government Pleader relying on the counter affidavit filed by the second respondent states that on 24.11.2024, a show cause notice has already been issued and enquiry is being conducted and would seek for three months time to complete the enquiry.

5. I find that the second respondent has also given reasons for delay in taking action and has also sought for unconditional apology for the delay. Considering the fact that the show cause notice has been already issued in November 2024 and disciplinary action has been initiated, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to conclude the enquiry and pass final orders, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
