O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to accept the application form of the petitioner in Application No.11200210 and consequently, direct the second respondent to issue a call letter to the petitioner to participate in the interview to be held from 15.12.2022 to 29.12.2022 pursuant to the notification / Advertisement No.1 of 2022, dated 13.10.2022.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner passed 10th Standard in the year 2009 at Corporation School, Madurai and also joined 11th Standard in the same School. Due to poverty, he was not able to continue his studies. In these circumstances, the

respondents conducted recruitment to the post of Packer in the year 2020. The second respondent issued advertisement inviting application from the eligible candidates for the post of Packer and the application fee is fixed as Rs.150/-. The petitioner has also applied to the post of Packer and taken the demand draft with the Madurai District Central Co-operative Bank, Madurai, for a sum of Rs.150/- on 26.02.2020. Thereafter, he sent the application form to the second respondent enclosing the demand draft and other certificates. After scrutinization of the application and certificates, the petitioner was called for interview on 19.12.2020 at Madurai District Central Co-operative Bank, Madurai. Accordingly, the petitioner appeared for interview on 19.12.2020. But, the Government has withdrawn the interview process.

Thereafter, once again, the second respondent issued a notification / Advertisement No.1 of 2022 dated 13.10.2022 inviting application for the post of Packer. The second respondent also informed that the candidates who have paid the application fee in the year 2020, need not pay application fee of Rs.150/-. Hence, the petitioner submitted his application through online and the same was rejected on the ground that application fee was not paid. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner has not annexed the demand draft which was taken earlier and other certificates along with the application, for which, he could not call for interview. However, the petitioner shall produce the demand draft which was taken earlier in the year 2020 and other certificates at the time of interview on the date that may be fixed by this Court.

4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the parties and perused the materials placed before this Court.

In view of the fair stand taken by the learned Additional Government Pleader, this Court is inclined to grant permission to the petitioner to produce all certificates including the copy of the demand draft which was taken by the petitioner earlier on 26.02.2020 before the concerned respondent, on 28.12.2022.

6. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above said directions. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
