O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent.

2. Issuance of notice to the second respondent is dispensed with.

3. The petitioner is a resident of Sirukanavayal Village. He alleges that in Arattani kanmoi which is located in his village, there are encroachments. He draws our attention to the report of the jurisdictional Tahsildar. It is seen therefrom that survey was already done and as many as 11 encroachments were identified. It is unfortunate that even after such identification of the encroachments, action has not been taken to remove the same. This is the task of the monitory committee and they appear to have failed to do so. Hence, this writ petition has been filed.

4. The first respondent is directed to issue notice to all the encroachers and have the encroachments removed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition stands allowed. No costs.
