O R D E R

The instant writ petition has been filed by a Personal Assistant to Regional Transport Officer at Sankarankoil, Tenkasi District, seeking a mandamus for expeditious disposal of the disciplinary proceedings pending against the petitioner.

2. According to the learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, he was issued with a charge memo on 03.05.2023. An Enquiry Officer was appointed on 15.12.2023. The petitioner has submitted his explanation on 06.03.2024. The enquiry has been completed and the enquiry report has been submitted to the first respondent in the month of March 2024 itself. According to the petitioner, through the enquiry report has been submitted to the first respondent, so far the first respondent has not been passed any final orders. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed. 2/4

3. Considering the above said facts, the first respondent is directed to pass final orders in the disciplinary proceedings pending as against the writ petitioner within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
