Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to make necessary correction in the House Tax Receipt No.115/061/900927 by removing the wrong entry and issue the House Tax Receipt No. 115/061/90027 in the petitioner's name for the house property in Door No.3, T.S.No.1581/1A1, New Ward No.61, Old Ward No.5, Ansari Nagar 4th Street, Mahaboopalayam, Madurai District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 25.09.2024.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus to direct the respondents to make necessary correction in the House Tax Receipt No. 115/061/900927 by removing the wrong entry and issue House Tax Receipt No.115/061/90027 in the petitioner's name for the house property in Door No.3, T.S.No.1581/1A1, New Ward No.61, Old Ward No.5, Ansari Nagar 4th Street, Mahaboopalayam, Madurai District by considering his representation dated 25.09.2024.

2. When the matter was taken for hearing today, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents had produced a communication dated 06.09.2024 of the second respondent herein where the petitioner had been called to produce documents to substantiate his claim for name transfer.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the said communication had been brought to his notice only now and therefore, would submit that he will produce all the relevant documents to the second respondent within a period of three weeks.

4. As and when the petitioner submits the relevant documents in support of his claim and if the authorities are satisfied with the same, they shall pass orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks thereafter.

5. With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
