ORDER

The petitioner has sought for early disposal of the case pending in C.C.No.873 of 2022, on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Nagercoil.

2.The petitioner is the defacto complainant, aged about 84 years. According to him, there is no progress in the trial, although cognizance was taken in the year 2022.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that six witnesses have been cited and the trial can be disposed of expeditiously.

4. Though a direction cannot be issued ordinarily fixing a time limit for the disposal of cases, considering the fact that the petitioner is a senior citizen, aged about 84 years, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Nagercoil, is directed to expeditiously dispose of the case in C.C.No.873 of 2022 and conclude it, in any event, within six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
