ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed by a retired Secretary of the third respondent Co-operative Society seeking a mandamus to pay gratuity amount and earned leave salary as per order of the third respondent dated 22.03.2024.

2.A perusal of the records reveal that the third respondent herein has passed an order on 22.03.2024 permitting the petitioner to retire from service and has also directed to release all the monetary benefits to the writ petitioner. However, the said amount has not been released. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

3.Per contra, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents on written instructions from the third respondent submits that already a sum of Rs.25,31,025/- has been released to the writ petitioner. The balance amount of Rs.3,31,200/- has been retained due to paucity of funds. Hence, he sought for some more time to release the above said amount.

4.Considering the above said facts, the third respondent is directed to disburse a sum of Rs.3,31,200/- to the writ petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above said direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
