ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to mutate the patta in the names of the legal heirs of the deceased petitioner's father, Marimuthu Nadar, with respect to the properties covered, in S.No.162/10, 184/1, 184/2 and 184/4 in Ramanathapuram Revenue Village, Sivagiri - Taluk, Tenkasi - District as per petitioner's representation dated 05.08.2024, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2. With consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. The petitioner gave a representation to the second respondent on 14.10.2022, to rectify the mistake that occurred with respect to the extent, pattathar's name in the patta and also to mutate the patta in the names of the legal heirs of his father Marimuthu. In pursuance of the petitioner's representation, summons was issued with respect to S.No. 162/10 on the petitioner on 10.07.2024. But the petitioner was not able to appear for enquiry for the personal reasons.Therefore, the petitioner sent a 2/5

representation on 05.08.2024 requesting the second respondent to fix another day for enquiry with respect to all the properties covered in S.No.162/10, 184/1, 184/2 and 184/4 in Ramanathapuram Revenue Village, Sivagiri - Taluk, Tenkasi - District. But no action was taken on the petitioner's representation. The petitioner therefore filed the writ petition fore the aforesaid relief.

4. Considering that the petitioner's representation has been pending since 14.10.2022 before the second respondent, a direction is issued to the second respondent to follow the timeline given in the Circular datd 17.07.2024 issued by the Commissioner, Land Administrtion, Chennai.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 22.11.2024 Index : Yes / No NCC : Yes / No CM 3/5
