ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/accused, apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent Police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 353, 354, 294(b) and 506(ii) IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Harassment of Women Act, in Crime No.Not 1/3

known of 2023, on the file of the respondent Police, seek anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant is the husband of Devarappanpatti Panchayat President. It is alleged that the petitioner is attached to a political party. He demanded commission from the Panchayat President for all the Panchayat works carried out in the said Panchayat Union. If the commission amount is not given, he has threatened the defacto complainant's wife with dire consequences.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner questioned the President for not getting prior approval from National Highways to do PWD works at Devarappanpatti Panchayat. Due to the above motive, a false complaint has been given.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by the defacto complainant namely one Revathy, enquiry is under way.

5.In view of the above said development, let proper enquiry be conducted by issuing summon to the petitioner and the counter party. If any trouble arises during the course of enquiry, the petitioner can workout his remedy through appropriate proceedings.

6.With the above said directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
