Prayer : Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 528 of B.N.S.S., 2023, to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his children and family members of the petitioner to protect their life and limb and to ensure smooth and peaceful enjoyment of the land comprised in S.No.278/2A1, 4A situated at Chenthilathipuram, Karisalpatti, Virudhunagar District based on the representation made by the petitioner, dated 17.09.2024 and pass such other orders as this Court. ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his children and family members of the petitioner to protect their life and limb and to ensure smooth and peaceful enjoyment of the land comprised in S.No.278/2A1, 4A 2/5

situated at Chenthilathipuram, Karisalpatti, Virudhunagar District based on the representation made by the petitioner, dated 17.09.2024.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the official respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner is under consideration. They will conduct enquiry and dispose of the same within 15 days.

3. The learned Counsel appearing for the third respondent would submit that there is a dispute between the parties in respect of the property. Therefore, for the disputed property police protection cannot be granted.

4. The prayer of the petitioner is to consider the representation for the police protection and the same is under consideration by the second respondent, therefore, it is for the second respondent to consider the same and dispose after affording opportunity to both the parties.

5. In view of the same, this Court directs the second respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation, dated 17.09.2024 within 15 days after 3/5
