Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents No.1 to 4 to initiate appropriate action to implement the decisions taken on the peace committee meeting in Na.Ka.No.A2/3576/2022 dated 18.05.2022 based on the petitioner's representation dated 03.04.2023 within the stipulated time frame fixed by this Court.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the writ petitioner, the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 3 and 5 and the learned Government Advocate for the fourth respondent. 2.The petitioner seeks implementation of the petition mentioned peace committee decision.

3.I have been consistently holding that peace committee meeting decisions do not have any statutory backing and no legal consequence can flow therefrom. I am therefore not in a position to grant relief to the petitioner. The petitioner will have to seek his remedy elsewhere. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. All the contentions of the petitioner are left open.
