belated payment of Rs.19,26,740/- towards his retirement benefits, namely, Commuted Value of Pension, Provident Fund and Gratuity from the date of his retirement (i.e) on 31.05.2022 till the date of full settlement on 30.05.2023 by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 25.10.2023. ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by a Selection Grade Driver of the respondent Transport Corporation, who attained superannuation on 31.05.2022.

2. According to the petitioner, a part of the terminal benefits were released on 23.05.2023 and the balance amount was released on 30.05.2023. Seeking interest for the belated payment of terminal benefits, the petitioner has sent a representation on 25.10.2023.

3. In view of the above said facts, the second and third respondents are hereby directed to pay 6% interest for the belated payment of terminal benefits till the date of realisation, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above said observation, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
