Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records pertaining to Impugned Proceedings No.Nil dated Nil passed by the 2nd respondent and quash the same as illegal and direct the 2nd respondent to grant permission and necessary protection to perform the cultural program (i.e.,) Adal Padal on 20.09.2025 at 06.00 PM to 10.00 PM in the evening of "Arulmigu Sri Manthaiyamman Temple", Kamatchi Nagar, Thathaneri Main Road, Madurai City.

ORDER

The Writ Petition is filed challenging the impugned proceedings issued by the second respondent, by which, the second respondent had denied permission to conduct Adal Padal programme on 20.09.2025 at 06.00 PM to 10.00 PM in the evening at Arulmigu Sri Manthaiyamman Temple, Kamatchi Nagar, Thathaneri Main Road, Madurai City.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would fairly submit that the petitioner may send another representation and the same would be favourably considered in terms of the Circular issued by the Director General of Police in Rc.007301/ Genl.I(1)/2019 dated 09.04.2019.

3. In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Writ Petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to send another representation to the respondents.
