Mr.M.Muthu Selvan Prayer: To extend the time for the further more period of six months to comply with the order of this Honble Court from 01.09.2025 to 28.02.2026 as directed by this Honble Court in WP (MD) No.6214 of 2015 dated 29.11.2022 and thus render justice.

ORDER

In this matter, it is found from the order passed in W.P.(MD) No. 6214 of 2015, dated 29.11.2022, that a road had been laid on the petitioner's land. Accordingly, this Court granted three options to the respondents namely to exchange the land, pay compensation, or remove the road. However, even though nearly four years have lapsed, no decision appears to have been taken in respect of any of the aforesaid options.

2. The present writ miscellaneous petition was filed on 11.09.2025 seeking an extension of time of six months. The said period has also expired. Nevertheless, considering the request made by the learned Government Standing Counsel, as a last opportunity, a further period of two months from today is granted.

3. It is made clear that no further extension of time shall be granted by this Court, and this Court shall proceed with contempt action if the order is not complied with within the aforesaid period.

4. Mr. M. Kannan, learned counsel, is no longer appearing on behalf of the petitioner in this matter, having been appointed as Government Counsel. Therefore, his name need not be reflected in the proceedings. The Registry is directed to remove his name from the cause list, and the order shall accordingly reflect the name of the second counsel appearing for the petitioner. 12.06.2026 rgm
