ORDER
The petitioner has filed the instant writ petition seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to issue patta in his name for 'Gramanatham' property comprised in S.No.96/2, measuring 1307 sq.ft., in Panaiyur Village, Madurai South Taluk, Madurai District. 2.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner has constructed a building and also assessed the same to the property tax. Thereafter, the petitioner has made a representation on 01.04.2024 seeking issuance of patta in his name in respect of the property under a landless poor scheme formulated by the State Government. He seeks the limited relief of disposal of the said application. 3.Without going into the merits and entitlement of the petitioner to patta, the respondent shall dispose of the application dated 01.04.2024 made by the petitioner on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4
