ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by a Selection Grade Senior Driver cum Conductor of the respondent Transport Corporation, who attained superannuation on 31.01.2021 seeking a Mandamus for payment of interest for belated disbursal of the terminal benefits.

2. According to the writ petitioner, his terminal benefits were released only on 01.12.2022. Hence, he has sent a representation on 12.09.2023 seeking interest for the belated payment. Since there was no response, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Considering the above said facts, the second respondent herein is directed to pay 6% interest to the writ petitioner from the due date till 30.11.2022 for the aforesaid terminal benefits, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

4. With the above said observation, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
