ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioners/A1 to A3, who were arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 07.06.2023 for the offences under Sections 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(C), 29(1) and 25 of 1/3

NDPS Act, 1985 in Crime No.5 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seek bail. 2.Heard the learned Counsel appearing on either side. 3.In the case in hand, 310 Kg of Ganja is involved. The petitioners are facing trial before the Special Court and the case is at the stage of examination of the investigation officer. Hence the trial is almost in the verge of completion. 4.Taking into consideration the quantity involved in this case and also considering the fact that the trial is almost in the verge of completion, this Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioners on bail. It will suffice if a direction is issued to the learned Additional District Judge/Presiding Officer, Special Court for E.C. Act Cases, Thanjavur to dispose of the case in C.C.No.199 of 2023, within a period of three months, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.In the result, this criminal original petition is disposed of with the above direction.
