ORDER

The petitioners are the accused in Cr.No.3 of 2012, on the file of the first respondent. The second respondent is the defacto complainant. Seeking to quash the said case, the petitioners are before this Court.

2.I have heard the learned Counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent. The second respondent has not appeared, as notice has not been served.

3.Today, when the matter was taken up, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the Government has issued G.O. (2D) No.141 Home (Police V) Department, dated 07.05.2014, thereby taking a decision to only initiate disciplinary proceedings as against the first accused. It is submitted by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that further action is going to be dropped in this matter, so far the criminal prosecution is concerned.

4.The said statement is recorded.

5. In view of the above, no further adjudication is required in this matter. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
