ORDER
The petitioners seek to quash the final report in C.C.No.356 of 2023, pending on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.II, Virudhunagar, which was filed for the offences under Sections 34, 294(b), 406, 420 and 506(i) of IPC.
2. The allegation in the final report is that there is a money dispute between the petitioner and the defacto complainant; that the petitioner had purchased googs from the defacto complainant to the tune of Rs.1,01,80,680/-; and that when the said amount was demanded by the defacto complainant, the petitioners abused the defacto complainant in filthy language, attacked him and threatened him of dire consequences and thus, committed the aforesaid offences.
3. Admittedly, the petitioners and the second respondent have now entered into a compromise and decided to give a quietus to the entire dispute. The parties have filed a joint compromise memo dated 23rd September 2025 and the scanned copy of the compromise memo reads as follows: 2/7

The petitioners, namely, Ravichandran (Aadhaar No.3677 4679 5872), Mariappanadar (Aadhaar No.7238 3208 2942) and the second respondent, namely, Narayanasamy (Aadhaar No.2834 1865 7581) are present before this Court in person. They are identified by Mr.K.Thirunavukkarasu, Sub Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Virudhunagar District. All the parties confirmed the compromise arrived at between them.
5. Considering the nature of the offences and the compromise arrived at between the parties, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the impugned final report pending trial. Accordingly, the impugned final report in C.C.No.356 of 2023, pending on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.II, Virudhunagar is quashed and the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed.
