ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by a retired Special Grade Driver of the respondent Corporation who attained superannuation on 31.05.2022.

2. According to the writ petitioner, his terminal benefits were released only on 31.05.2023. Hence, he has made a representation on 23.10.2023 for payment of interest for the belated settlement of the terminal benefits. Since there is no response for the respondents, this writ petition has been filed.

3. In view of the above said facts, the 2nd respondent is directed to pay interest at the rate of 6% per annum from 01.06.2022 to 30.05.2023 within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
