Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the application dated 05.05.2023 of the Petitioner for sub-division and patta transfer and pass appropriate orders to survey and demarcate the landed property situate in Survey Nos. 72/3A, 1A, 1A1A1 at Veerapandi village, Theni Taluk and District. ORDER

The prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted. The petitioner must obtain separate patta in his name. At present, the petitioner is having only joint patta. The petitioner has already filed an application before the first respondent for issuance of separate patta. The first respondent shall hold an enquiry after issuing notice to all the other pattadhars and interested persons and thereafter pass order on merits and in accordance with law. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. 2/4

2. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
