Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representations, dated 17.07.2023, 07.08.2023 and 11.09.2023 and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law in relation to petitioner's request transfer as from Tenkasi to Palayamkottai after the date of retirement of the fourth respondent's in his place forthwith. ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed by an Assistant Executive Engineer, who is working in Tenkasi seeking a Mandamus to direct the first respondent herein to consider his request for request transfer from Tenkasi to Palayamkottai.
2. According to the learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the petitioner had worked only for a shorter period at Urban Palayamkottai. However, in order to accommodate the fourth respondent, he was transferred to Tenkasi and he is working in Tenkasi from 29.06.2023. Due to personal reasons, he would like to get re-transferred to Palayamkottai and he has 2/5
submitted his representations to the first respondent on 17.07.2023, 07.08.2023 and 11.09.2023.
3. It is for the first respondent to consider the request of the writ petitioner for transfer to Palayamkottai on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders as and when vacancy arises at Palayamkottai.
4. With the above said observation, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
