ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by a Driver of the respondent Transport Corporation, who retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation on 31.05.2022.

2. According to the petitioner, his terminal benefits were disbursed only on 09.06.2023 belatedly after a period of one year. Hence, he has sent a representation on 24.06.2023 seeking payment of interest for the belated disbursal.

3. Considering the above said facts, the respondents herein are directed to pay 6% interest to the writ petitioner from the due date till 08.06.2023 for the aforesaid terminal benefits, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above said observation, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
