By asserting that the property in survey No.256/27 is jointly owned by the petitioner, his brother Marimuthu and one Gopalsamy, after submitting a representation dated 17.07.2025 seeking a survey, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

2. Learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of both the respondents. Because a joint patta was issued, he submits that the joint pattathars should be put on notice before a decision is taken.

3. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to take action on the petitioner's request for survey after putting the joint pattathars under patta No.868 on notice and also putting the owners of relevant adjacent lands on notice. This exercise shall be 2/4

completed within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
