ORDER
Heard both sides.
2.The petitioner is a senior citizen. He had given a complaint under Section 23 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 before the first respondent. It is the second respondent who is the competent authority to deal with the issue. The first respondent forwarded the petition to the second respondent and the second respondent also issued notice. The matter is pending for more than one year for enquiry. The statute states that within two months, such matters have to be disposed of.
3.I direct the second respondent to dispose of the petitioner's complaint on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I have not gone into the merits of the matter. The second respondent will comply with the principles of natural justice before disposing of the matter. 2/4
