PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the the 1st and 2nd Respondents to conducting survey and demarcate my landed property comprised in Survey No. 66/1, Survey No. 66/2, Survey No. 66/3, Survey No. 63/4 situated at Anaipattti village, Dindigul West Taluk, Dindigul District and consequently directing the 3rd respondent to provide police protection by considering the petitioner's representation dated on 17.07.2025.

ORDER

By relying on sale deed bearing document No.5618 of 2023 and patta No. 542, the petitioner had requested for survey of the land in S.Nos.66/1, 66/2, 66/3 and 63/4.

2.Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2 and learned Government Advocate(crl.side) accepts notice on behalf of the 3rd respondent. Learning Special Government Pleader submits that the petitioner's application would be acted upon within twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3.The petitioner has placed on record the title documents under which he purchased the relevant land. Also on record is patta No.542 standing in the name of the petitioner in respect of S.Nos.66/1, 66/2 and 66/3. Patta No.546 has also been filed and this is a joint patta in the name of one Murugan. The petitioner alleges that the 4th respondent has attempted to interfere with the 2/4

petitioner's possession and that an order of interim injunction operates against the 4th respondent in O.S.No.640 of 2024. In view of these developments, it is necessary to put the 4th respondent on notice before a decision is taken on the petitioner's request for survey.

4.Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of by directing the first and second respondents to initiate action on the petitioner's request for survey after issuing notice to the petitioner, the fourth respondent and the owners of the relevant adjacent lands. The entire exercise shall be completed within 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If necessary, the revenue authorities may take the assistance of the jurisdictional police.
