JUDGMENT

(Judgment of the Court was made by S.SRIMATHY, J.) This intra-Court Appeal is filed against the order of this Court dated 14.12.2023 in W.P.(MD)No.26145 of 2023.

2.The writ petitioner is the wife of a Physical Education Teacher. She filed a writ petition challenging the rejection of her request of revision of pay scale. The husband of the writ petitioner was granted with the benefit of G.O.Ms.No.216, Finance (PC) Department, dated 22.03.1993 and G.O.Ms.No. 270, Finance (PC) Department dated 26.08.2010 by this Court and thereafter, he passed away. Hence, the petitioner made a representation before the Educational Authorities seeking the above said benefit. However, the same was rejected. Therefore, the writ petitioner filed the writ petition challenging the said order. 3.The learned Single Judge having considered the submissions, had held that since already the benefits have been conferred upon the petitioner's husband, the petitioner is entitled to seek the said benefit as her husband is no more. Therefore, the writ petition was allowed directing the authorities concerned to reconsider the claim of the petitioner in light of the relevant Government Orders issued in this regard.

4.We find no infirmity in the order impugned in this writ appeal. Accordingly, this writ appeal is dismissed and the order passed by the learned Single Judge is hereby confirmed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
