ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to call for the records in C.C.No.508 of 2019 pending on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court, Paramakudi and quash the same.

2. The petitioners are the accused 1 and 2 in C.C.No.508 of 2019.

3. It is evident from the records that on the basis of the complaint given by the second respondent, FIR came to be registered in Crime No. 190 of 2015 for the offences under Sections 323 and 506(1) IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Women Harassment Act and that the first respondent, after completing the investigation, has laid the final report.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that though the FIR was registered on 16.11.2015, the charge sheet came to be filed before the Judicial Magistrate, Paramakudi on 21.08.2019. 2/4

5. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the first respondent would submit that the case stands posted for examination of P.W.1 to P.W.3.

6. Since the case is pending from 2019 onwards and the case stands posted for examination of witnesses, this Court is not inclined to quash the charge sheet at this point of time. However, the trial Judge is directed to complete the trial and dispose of the case in C.C.No.508 of 2019 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
