Prayer:Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to reckon the seniority of the petitioner based on the Seniority List for the year 2014-2015 and also given promotion from petitioner's eligible date 15.04.2012 and consequently direct the respondents 1 to 3 to pay all monitory benefits based on the petitioner's representation dated 29.09.2022, within the time that may be stipulated by this Court. This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the 1st respondent to reckon the seniority of the petitioner based on the Seniority list for the year 2014-2015 and also give promotion, from the petitioner's eligible date on 15.04.2012 and consequently, direct the respondents 1 to 3, to pay all monitory benefits to the petitioner based on the petitioner's representation, dated 29.09.2022, within a stipulated time. 2/6

2. The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as Junior Assistant in the year 2012 at Karur and he was promoted as Assistant in the year 2020 and he was transferred to Chennai. The grievance of the petitioner is that his juniors were promoted as Assistant in the year 2014. However, the petitioner was given promotion only in the year 2020 and he has to take care of his age old mother. Therefore, expressing his grievance, he made a representation to the fourth respondent on 29.09.2022. However, till date, no order was passed. Hence, the petitioner has filed this writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the fourth respondent is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 29.09.2022, on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, has no serious objection for such an order being passed by this Court.

Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the fourth respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 29.09.2022 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
