O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to survey and demarcate the four boundaries of the petitioner's land situated in T.S. Nos. 1034, 1035/2, and 1036/2, Block No. 28, Ward No. 1, Dr.Moorthy Road, Kumbakonam, Thanjavur District, in the light of the online application dated 01.09.2025 made by the petitioner.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that an application dated 01.09.2025 was made seeking survey and demarcation of the boundaries of the property in question. Since no action has been taken by the respondents 1 and 2, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submits that after considering the claims of all parties, proper steps would be taken to survey and demarcate the land in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and 2/5

Boundaries Act, 1923.

In view of the above, this Court directs the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application dated 01.09.2025 for survey and demarcation on merits and in accordance with law. Notice shall be issued to the petitioner, the third respondent and the owners of relevant adjacent lands and appropriate orders shall be passed in accordance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act 1923, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claims, the same can be agitated before the competent civil court.

6. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of on the above terms. No costs.
