ORDER

This petition is filed to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to open the lock of Vadakuvasal Sri Chellayee Amman Temple situated at Vadapalanji Village, Madurai District and permit the villagers to celebrate the festival.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the fourth respondent would submit that there was a dispute between the petitioner and his men and other villagers. In that regard, a peace committee meeting was conducted and a decision was taken and that the official respondents would allow the petitioner and other villagers to conduct the festival in accordance with the decision taken in the peace committee meeting.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner confirms the aforesaid facts. 2/5
