ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to direct the respondent to issue non traceable certificate for the petitioner's original settlement deed dated 01.07.2014 in document No.1201 of 2014 on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 19.12.2022 in reference No.CLS 22225180 within a stipulated period as framed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has lodged a complaint dated 22.10.2022 before the respondent for missing of his original settlement deed vide document bearing No.1201 of 2014 dated 01.07.2014 in respect of the property which was situated at Kuripankulam, Kallidaikurichi Sub Registration circle, Tirunelveli District in Survey No.619/1, but no action was taken and hence, he has lodged an online complaint dated 19.12.2022. 2/4

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner's complaint dated 19.12.2022 is pending.

5. Considering the above, the respondent police is directed to conduct enquiry and issue Non-traceable Certificate to the petitioner, after ensuring the said document has not been deposited for any purpose, following the circular issued by the Director General of Police.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
