This petition is filed to direct the 8th respondent or other competent agency to take up the investigation in Crime No.281 of 2011 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Papanasam Police Station, Thanjavur District and to file final report within a time.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 7 as well as the the learned Counsel appearing for the 8th respondent/CBI.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) would submit that the 1st respondent, after completing the investigation, closed the case as "Action dropped, on 08.05.2012.

4.Recording the above submission, this petition is closed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed.
