This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the Contemnor/ 1st Respondent for willful disobedience of the order dated 09.03.2022 passed in Writ Petition in W.P.(MD) No. 4146 of 2022.

2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that as per the order of this Court dated 09.03.2022, the Inspector of Police, Thattarmadam Police Station, Thoothukudi District has conducted an enquiry and registered a case in Crime No.177 of 2022 which is pending for investigation. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that this Court specifically directed the respondent to monitor the investigation since the entire allegations were made against the Inspector of Police. 4.Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Contempt Petition stands closed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file appropriate petition to implead the Inspector of Police as an accused.
