PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant patta to the petitioner to the extend of land in his residential occupation in Natham Survey No.21/5 of Semminipatti Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District as requested in the petitioner's representation dated 27.07.2025. ORDER

By assering that the petitioner lives in a House in Natham S.No.21/5 for the past 30 years, after submitting a representation dated 27.07.2025, seeking a house site patta, the present writ petition has been filed. 2.Learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of both the respondents. He submits that the second respondent would consider the petitioner's request and dispose of the same within 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3.Accordingly, without making any observations on the merits, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation on merits within 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and any other persons who would be affected by such order. No costs.
