ORDER

Challenging the tender notification issued by the second respondent dated 14.11.2014, this writ petition came to be filed.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the tender notification is bereft of certain particulars and the said notification has been issued without following the statutory conditions mandated under Tamil Nadu Transparency in Tender Act, 1998. In view of the same, the impugned notification has to be quashed.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the second respondent corporation submitted that they have already published the notification in the District Gazette as well as in the newspaper. It was published on 14.11.2024. Even the mandatory 15 days period of time would not be satisfied, if the online tender is conducted on 27.11.2024. Therefore, the respondents will consider to withdraw the tender notification and issue fresh tender notification. 2/4
