Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to conduct a proper and detailed enquiry into the fraudulent and illegal patta mutation proceedings dated 23.09.1997 and 27.03.2024, and to take appropriate action in accordance with law and consequently, direct the respondents 1 to 4 to restore the patta and revenue records in respect of Survey No.410/10 (including 410/10B) in Valayanvayal Village, Mangalakkudi Group, in the names of the petitioners and other rightful co-owners as per the 'A' Register and ancestral records.

The petitioners assert that they are rightful co-owners of the land in survey No.410/10 along with seven others. By referring to patta No. 1270 in the name of the petitioners, learned counsel further stated that the names of the petitioners were unlawfully removed from the patta. Therefore, after making a representation for restoration of the patta and revenue records in respect of survey No.410/10, the present Writ Petition 2/5

has been filed.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners pointed out that an inquiry is going on in this regard by referring to the document in page No.25 of the typed set.

3. Learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 5. He submits that such inquiry would be proceeded with and concluded on merits within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. In view of the above submissions of the learned Additional Government Pleader, it is unnecessary to issue notice to the private respondent.

5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the third respondent to conclude the survey and issue a speaking order within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioners, the sixth 3/5
